Mascarin Collision & Auto Care Centre Sponsors $12,000 Purse for Thunder Bay Tennis

The Thunder Bay Community Tennis Centre is proud to welcome Mascarin Collision & Auto Care Centre as the new Premier Corporate Sponsor of the Mid Canada Open, the city’s largest annual tennis tournament. With $12,000 in total prize money, this is the largest purse in Canada for an open tournament. There are also 1000 OTA/Tennis Canada ranking points up for grabs for the champion.

“The Mid Can showcases a superior calibre of tennis, with players from across North America vying for the title in Men’s and Women’s Open singles and doubles events”, says Dave McCallum, Tennis Centre President and former two-time doubles champion of this prestige event. “The tournament gives our talented local competitors a chance to compete with some of the very best in North America, making this weekend a unique tennis experience for players and spectators alike”.

Admission is FREE for the entire weekend. The event takes place at Chapples Park. Everyone is encouraged to come out to watch the best tennis action in Thunder Bay this summer! As well as Open category events there are also 55+ Boys U14 and Girls U14 tournaments. Entry deadline is TBD.
