Mark grew up at the Tennis Centre, participating in all the Junior programs and tournaments offered at the time. His experience as President of the Centre over two separate terms has offered him contacts and relationships with OTA and Tennis Canada professionals.
Mark is Certified by Tennis Canada as a Club Pro 1 teaching instructor. He is our current Junior Development Coordinator, overseeing approximately 180 kids in the 2021 season.
As a senior (55+) member of our coaching staff, Mark specializes in working with older adults. The goal is to improve performance with an emphasis on court positioning and relevant shot placement with stroke production techniques being a secondary consideration.
Mark also excels in helping younger beginner and intermediate players develop into solid tennis players. He takes the view that these younger players should be having fun while they develop consistent and fundamentally sound strokes that will allow them to improve as they get older, stronger, and faster.
