Ladies’ League: Wednesday evening at 6:30pm. Play doubles with people at your own ability level. Matches set up weekly. 3.5 and 4.0 division available.
Free drop in doubles: Tennis at Ten: 10 am Tuesdays and Thursdays. Tennis at 12: 12 pm Sundays.
Tennis Ladder: Singles Tennis ladder. Want to meet different players? Sign up for our online ladder. Receive weekly challenges or make your own challenge. Join by clicking this link: https://tennisladders.net/accounts/signup/ . You must enter your rating when signing up: Beginner player 2.0, low intermediate 3.0, good intermediate 3.5, advanced 4.0.
Destination 3.5+: June 15th. Monday and Wednesdays and 5:30pm and Sundays at 11am. $40 for 25 sessions. This program is for adult beginners and intermediates looking to advance to the next level.
Destination 5.0+: May 20th. Wednesdays 8:30pm and Sundays at 9:15am. $40 for 25 sessions. 4.0+ players and those who have been grinding it out in Tournaments over the years and are now looking to join the Pro Tour.
Socials: We normally have three of these Pot Luck events. These see up to 50 participants playing in a team atmosphere, followed by dinner in the Clubhouse. Fee is $10 plus a dish or $20 if catered.
Grand Marais Exchanges: Join in when some folks from Grand Marais come here or travel and play in Grand Marais. Free.
Clinics: You can sign up for a clinic put on by Head Pro Jamie Grieve (highest level of certification Elite Professional with the United States Professional Tennis Association). Adult members receive four free clinics in May; May 8th @ 7pm Forehands, Friday May 15th @ 7pm Backhands, Friday May 22nd @ 7pm Volleys, Thursday May 28th @ 7pm: Serves
Kids Tennis June 29th: The Thunder Bay Community Tennis Centre is dedicated to promoting the growth of Tennis through programs focused on the development of Juniors within the sport. This program is for kids between 4 and 18. There are 4 time slots avalable: 9am , 10am, 11am, 12pm.
Tournaments: It seems there is a tournament almost every other weekend. This is a great way to test your skills against different people, and you always get to play against someone who is better than you; unless you are the champion!
