Brendan is one of our Centre’s top players.  His love of the game comes through in all of his tennis activities.  In his spare time at the Centre, he can be found working with the youngest of players in a fun, tennis related game or activity.  

Brendan’s classic strokes and knowledge of the game make him one of our most promising players in Thunder Bay.

Gianni Mascarin – Pro Assistant

Gianni is one of our Centre’s top players.  Gianni loves the game of tennis and counties to strive in tennis. Gianni has excelled in his tennis skills and has become a champion in city tournaments and has been a finalist in multiple city tournaments.  Gianni continues to work hard and improve his game. He can also been seen helping everyone at the tennis centre improve there game.

Nick Littlefield – Pro Assistant

Nick is one of the clubs up and coming players. Nick shows dominance in his game and is showing improvements everyday. Nick can also been see helping children and adults at the club on a daily basis. Nick will be one of the best tennis players for years to come.

Mark Piovesana – Pro Assistant

Mark grew up at the Tennis Centre, participating in all the Junior programs and tournaments offered at the time. His experience as President of the Centre over two separate terms has offered him contacts and relationships with OTA and Tennis Canada professionals.

Mark is Certified by Tennis Canada as a Club Pro 1 teaching instructor. He is our current Junior Development Coordinator, overseeing approximately 180 kids in the 2021 season.

As a senior (55+) member of our coaching staff, Mark specializes in working with older adults. The goal is to improve performance with an emphasis on court positioning and relevant shot placement with stroke production techniques being a secondary consideration.

Mark also excels in helping younger beginner and intermediate players develop into solid tennis players. He takes the view that these younger players should be having fun while they develop consistent and fundamentally sound strokes that will allow them to improve as they get older, stronger, and faster.
